White Coat Ceremony 2025

The Schoold of Dentistry at Temple University held its White Coat Ceremony on Friday, April 25, at the Temple Performing Arts Center. During this meaningful event, 161 members of the Class of 2027 received their White Coats, marking an important milestone in their professional journey.

Dean Ismail and Dr. Ted Rockwell, President of the Pennsylvania Dental Association, welcomed students, families, and guests. The keynote address was delivered by Professor of Law at Temple Law School, Scott Burris, JD.  Associate Dean for Student Affairs and Wellness, Ms. Jo Ann Nyquist, read the names of the students as they received their White Coats, followed by remarks from Dr. Ronald Silverman, ‘72, the President of Temple Dental Alumni Association.

The Class of 2027 then recited the Professional Oath in unison led by Professor Scott Burris, reaffirming their commitment to the ethics and professionalism of the dental profession. Zachary Smola, President of the Class of 2027, delivered the student address. Dean Ismail concluded the ceremony with closing remarks before attendees gathered to celebrate this special occasion at a reception in Mitten Hall.
