DR. DONALD COHEN PASSED away November 2, 2025, in Florida at the age of 78. He graduated from City College of New York with a BS degree in Biology in 1969 and earned his DMD degree from Washington University School of Dental Medicine in 1973. He received his certificate in Oral Pathology from Temple University School of Dentistry in 1976 and an MS in Oral Biology in 1982. He later earned an MBA. In Finance, graduating summa cum laude with an MBA from the University of Nebraska in 1989.
Dr. Cohen joined the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry as an Oral Pathologist and professor in Lincoln, Nebraska from 1976 to 2002. Dr. Cohen then continued his career at the University of Florida Dental College in Gainesville from 2002 until his retirement in 2022.
Dr. Cohen served the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology in many capacities, including 6 years as the Director of Education and was proud to serve as President of the AAOMP from 2021 to 2022.
He is survived by his wife, three daughters and six grandchildren.
